Hello GamingAhead Community,

A little over a year ago we launched NGGC.net (Next Generation Gaming Community), since then this site has evolved a lot and into what you see today.

If you would like to look to see what our site looked before the design change click here.

In the six months GamingAhead has existed we have grown a lot and we would like to thank you, the members, for helping us reach this milestone.

Today, I would like to let you know that I will be away from Gaming Ahead for 4 months. I'll have too much going on to actively give my 100% commitment during this time, so I feel the best thing for the site is to step aside for the time being (last year of college, work, and friends). Thank you for giving GamingAhead a chance and letting it mold into what it is today.

Now a few of the staff members would like to share how they heard of GamingAhead/NGGC and what to expect in the future.

Nugs - General Manager

I joined this site NGGC when there were under 50 users, and I remember a friend (s2sora) saying hey check out this new ladder site, make a username and join my clan, which I did. We both applied for staff on the site, he applied for s2 ref, and I applied for Forum Moderator. A year later, looking back, many things happened during this time, which truly started the mass joining of users who wanted to play on a ladder where knowing we would do what we could to add new things or changes, and really listen to our users, unlike other ladder sites. It has been a struggle at times to maintain activity in ladders where we had to compete with MLG and sponsorships, but we as a staff looked forward to the challenges of keeping our site afloat while others have tried and died. We truly are very excited about this site reaching the 10,000 user level, and lasting over a year, and will continue to poll users and staff on what we can do to improve things, or what new ladders or old ladders we should open to try to generate another 10,000 users in the next year. With all the rumors on what is going to happen when Confrontation comes out, and the plans we are trying to get together to keep the users using Gaming Ahead as their #1 Socom site will be a challenge, but I feel we have a mix of fun excited energetic new and old staff who will commit their time and energy to assist in this process.
Thanks for being a part of this site, and I'm giving you my word that we will do our best to provide a clean and honest staff, who will be available to answer any questions or comments, now and in the future.

K3yz - Operations Manager

I joined this site when it was NGGC. I came to it because of the Call of Duty 2 ladder. I was offered a job as a referee and accepted it. I worked hard for the later months to come and worked my way up to operations manager. Since I have been on staff their has been a lot of changes with staff and the site. It was a small site with around three-hundred members to a site with 10,000 members. The staff has changed so much, now we have everyone in the right spot, things are going smooth. We will keep working on making this the best gaming community. I am always here to answer any questions or comments anyone may have so feel free to private message or AIM me anytime.

Thanks Stuey and nugs for giving me the chance to help the community. All the Platform Admin's for always having my back and helping me with out a problem.

Most importantly, thank you to all the users. We would not be anything with out any of you.

BmX-aLiAs - Director of Ladders

I joined this site after getting an aim from a buddy from Socom II. When I joined the site was called www.nggc.net. About six months after in January the owners of the site changed their name to www.gamingahead.com. I've been a member for a little over a year now. I decided to joined staff before the changing of gamingahead because I thought I can make a great help to the community. Throughout my working career on this site I have been promoted multiple times. I started as a referee for Socom II and moved my way up to the Director of Ladders. I've done as much as I can do for this site to try to get staff and make ladders active. I'm glad to see that they're over 10,000 people who have joined this site. I'm hoping later on in the future even more people decide to move over to this site because this site is like a home to me now. I'm so glad that I got to be a staff member on this site. I have gotten to meet some amazing people. Thanks everyone for helping this site be active and giving me a chance be a staff member.

I came to this site when there wasn't any activity. The main reason I came was because one of my S2 buddie was nagging me to start playing on this ladder. After looking back I am happy that he told me about the site. The reason that I've been here so long is because of the staff and community. I think our community is unique in a way that everyone knows everyone. I've meant some of the coolest people on this site that made it so fun to work here. Basically thank you guys for giving me the chance to do all of this, if it wasn't for all of you members that signed up we wouldn't be here.

Carbon - Head Staff Developer

I got an aim to check out this new gaming ladder site called NGGC and i was like this is cool maybe i will check it out. Well then i kinda got into paintball and didn't have time for gaming so i stopped playing all together.

I decided to get on aim one day and started talking to an old friend that so happened to be the Socom Ca Head admin at the time. He asked me if i would join staff and help out as an admin on the CA ladder. Later on i was promoted to the Head Admin of that ladder. For awhile i was running that ladder then due to the activity being low it was shut down and then i became GamingAheads First Graphic designer and soon the Head Graphic Designer. Then i put in an app. for Staff developer and i was loving it. Training staff was fun and now as you may see im in charge of the Staff Development Department and im always looking for more to do and more people that want to help train the Staff of Gaming Ahead.

Thanks
-Carbon (Rob)
