Robin in Arkham Asylum 2??

March 9th, 2010

If there’s one thing I’ve always consistently hated, it’s the character of Robin from the Batman universe.  I say universe because I’ve managed to dislike the character in all shapes and variations he has been presented in.  I hated him in the comics, I hated him in the Adam West show, I hated him in the movies, I hated him in the animated series, and now, it seems I’m going to have to hate him in the video game world.

IMDB.com’s listing for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 has Robin listed as one of the characters, and will apparently be voiced by Vincent Martella, the same dude who lent his voice to Final Fantasy XIII and the character of Hope.  What gives this “rumor” real legs is the fact that Martella has previously voiced the character of Robin in the animated feature Batman: Under the Red Hood.

That’s right folks, this looks to be pretty serious.  No offense to Martella, who I’m sure is a talented young man, but having Robin in the Arkham Asylum world just doesn’t seem right to me.  Oh well, we’ll gauge the level of suck upon the games release.
